Our Staff

Natalia is a native Rhode Islander with roots hailing from Portugal and Brazil. Formerly a voice instructor of fifteen years at Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts and ten years at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI. she presently devotes herself to her teaching voice and piano to ages six through senior citizenhood at her One Voice Studio in Slatersville, RI.

Natalia has a great interpretative flair in many foreign languages as well as an adaptability to varied styles of singing. Her performing experiences have been greatly varied encompassing sacred as well as secular settings: local, national and international.

Her thirty years of teaching experience have brought her through the ranks of working successfully with youngsters as well as adults, privately as well as in group settings.

She is the former director of the Portuguese Heritage Chorale having toured the group throughout California and New England at numerous bi-lingual conferences and political events.

A former vocal music educator in the Bay State communities of Blackstone and Millville, she has also served as president of the Beethoven Club of Woonsocket as well as the National Association of Teachers of Singing, RI chapter.

She holds a Master of Music degree in voice from the N.E. Conservatory as well as Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Music from R.I. College and certificates of study from the Kodaly Center of America in Newton, MA. the university of Madrid, Spain, and the University of Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel-Azores, Portugal.

Esther has been teaching at One Voice Studio since 2002. She holds a bachelor's degree from Rhode Island College. She has also attended Berkley College of Music, studying songwriting and piano. Esther is an accomplished musical director, traveling throughout New England and the East Coast. She has also been involved in local theater productions, and at Bryant University. While at Rhode Island College, she also studied Voice with Flo St. Jean. Esther accompanies all of the One Voice Studio performances. She is a constant performer throughout the Ocean State.

Rose began training with Natalia in the Seventies at the Hesseney Studio in Woonsocket RI. She studied with Mother John of the Eucharist, RJM. In the early Eighties she received voice lessons from Mary Beck at Rhode Island College (voice being her Major instrument). While attending Rhode Island College she studied piano for three semesters. Steven Martorella was her piano teacher. She received her BA in Music in January of 1988 from Rhode Island College. Founder of the "Spreading Joy Group" in 1987, she sang and directed the Choral Group, performing in nursing homes, health centers, and the high rise complex for the elderly. They sang secular as well as religious hymns for five years. Rose directed the Children's Choir at Holy Family Church in the Nineties. Rose is presently the organist and choir director at Holy Family Church. She wants to share the joy of music with everyone.

Elizabeth began teaching at the One Voice Studio in 2000. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and Bachelor of Arts in Communications-Speech and Hearing Sciences from RI College as well as a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of RI. She has incorporated her love of music and dance into her work as a speech-language pathologist in neuro-rehabilitative settings including Community Rehab Care in Quincy, MA and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Providence, RI. She is currently employed at Rhode Island Hospital where the majority of her work is focused on rehabilitating injured voices through voice therapy. She also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Communications Department at Rhode Island College where she teaches Vocal Improvement. She has performed in various theatrical productions and serves as soloist and cantor at area Churches. Elizabeth has traveled throughout Europe and has performed in Ireland and Italy. In addition to music, Elizabeth has a passion for ballroom dancing and has participated in competitions.
